In August, Iceland stays cool and green, with long daylight hours and temperatures between ten and fifteen degrees Celsius. The weather is mild but unpredictable, often shifting between sunshine, wind, and light rain. It is a comfortable time to explore, with clear days offering wide views of glaciers, valleys, and the sea.

Hear from our Prismers
“A home away from home.
As memorable and beautiful as Iceland is, my main takeaway is Ahmed’s unique ability to attract just the right people to form a group trip like this one! Truly felt like a family traveling together and seeing the most mystical places on this earth.
The planning, the guided tours, the adventures are worth it, topped by amazing people that just make it unforgettable. Not my first trip with Prism and definitely not my last! <3” - Amine Zaki
Guided by Ahmed Almonsouri
Hello hello hello! I’m Ahmed, the founder of Prism Adventures and a lifelong believer that travel should be about people, not just places. I love good conversations, long hikes, and that feeling when everyone in a group becomes like family. If you’ve joined a Prism trip before, you already know how much I value connection, laughter, and a little bit of chaos along the way.
I started Prism Adventures because I was craving something deeper from travel, something raw, real, and human. Back in 2016, I went on a hiking trip in Oman with friends, and between the laughter and quiet moments, I found a kind of freedom I’d never felt before. That moment changed everything. In 2018, I started Prism to create that same sense of belonging and adventure for others, and I haven’t looked back since.

What moment on a trip always sticks with you?
That quiet part after a long day when everyone’s tired, laughing, and real.
How do you spend your time when you’re not guiding?
Playing piano, hanging out with my close friends, and working out.
What’s one thing travel has taught you?
That people everywhere just want to be heard and understood, and deep down, we’re far more alike than we are different.
Do you believe in getting lost?
I got to the best moments of my life after feeling lost.
What kind of people inspire you?
People who are giving, empathetic, compassionate, and understanding.
What’s one thing you hope everyone takes from a Prism trip?
That you don’t need to have it all figured out, and that you’ll never be alone. You will always meet beautiful people and make wonderful new friendships.
What’s your favorite TV show?
Golden Girls, duh.
What kind of music do you like?
Anything by Lana Del Rey or Abdulrahman Mohammed.

Fried chicken all the way - and my mom’s Machboos.

My journal and my headphones.
