Hear from our Prismers
“Definitely one of the best trips of my life and that had a lot to do with the magic of Socotra and the Architect of Memories himself, Ahmed, who made sure everyone was always comfortable. He always went out of his way to make sure everyone had everything they need.
The itinerary he made was carefully calculated to make sure everyone has a good time and experiences the best parts of the island. It was my first camping trip and it was surprisingly easy, as Ahmed’s staff were excellent, they made everything so easy and simple, and I’d like to underline that the bathrooms (well bath tents) were surprisingly always clean. That was something that surprised all of us.
The forced disconnected from the world (most of the time there’s no network or internet) was probably the best thing of the trip. Turning on/off airplane mode is very different from not having the option of turning it on. We all desperately need that detox from our daily lives and responsibilities and Socotra is the best place to do it.
You will not regret going to Socotra with Prism.” - Saleh AlRefaei

Hello hello hello! I’m Ahmed, the founder of Prism Adventures and a lifelong believer that travel should be about people, not just places. I love good conversations, long hikes, and that feeling when everyone in a group becomes like family. If you’ve joined a Prism trip before, you already know how much I value connection, laughter, and a little bit of chaos along the way.
I started Prism Adventures because I was craving something deeper from travel, something raw, real, and human. Back in 2016, I went on a hiking trip in Oman with friends, and between the laughter and quiet moments, I found a kind of freedom I’d never felt before. That moment changed everything. In 2018, I started Prism to create that same sense of belonging and adventure for others, and I haven’t looked back since.
Get to know Ahmed
