    Day 1: Board in Longyearbyen, meet the crew, and sail into Isfjorden toward our first anchorage.

    Day 2: Alkhornet’s dramatic seabird cliffs, reindeer on the tundra, and a sheltered anchorage at St Jonsfjorden.

    Days 3-4: Ny-Ålesund, the world’s northernmost research settlement, and Kongsfjorden’s glacial waters. Possible visit to Ny-London, a former marble mining site.

    Day 5: A longer northbound passage to Magdalenefjorden, with open Arctic sailing and seabird spotting from the deck.

    Day 6: Smeerenburg on Amsterdamøya, a former Dutch whaling station, and the remote northwest islands.

    Day 7: Sailing south along the west coast. A quieter day to take in the scenery, chat with the guides, and settle into the rhythm of Arctic life.

    Day 8: Forlandsundet and Poolepynten on Prins Karls Forland, where walruses haul out on the beaches. We sail through the night toward Isfjorden.

    Day 9: Pyramiden, the abandoned Soviet mining town frozen in time. One of the most surreal places on earth, and there is nowhere else like it. Farewell dinner aboard.

    Day 10: Return to Longyearbyen. Disembark by 09:00.

    The itinerary is subject to change at the captain’s discretion based on weather, ice conditions, and wildlife opportunities. Flexibility is part of the adventure.

    • Full board: all meals, snacks, coffee, tea, and non-alcoholic drinks

    • International flights to and from Longyearbyen (LYR)

    • Personal travel insurance (mandatory, must include medical evacuation coverage)

    • Gratuities for the crew (discretionary but appreciated)

  • Cool and bright, with the Arctic sun never fully setting. Expect temperatures around 2 to 8°C on land, feeling colder on deck with wind and sea spray. June sits in Svalbard’s early summer window: pack ice has largely retreated, wildlife is active, and the midnight sun means daylight around the clock. Days mix sunshine, overcast skies, and the occasional light rain or snow flurry, sometimes all in the same afternoon. Conditions can change quickly at sea, and wind on deck will cut through light clothing even on calm days. Waterproof and windproof layers are essential at all times, with warm mid-layers underneath. Think expedition, not vacation weather.

  • To reserve your spot, a non-refundable deposit of 275 KD is required. The remaining balance is paid in monthly installments, with the final payment due by 30 April 2027.

    For example, if you sign up in October, your payments would be spread across October, November, December, January, February, March, and April, keeping each installment manageable.

I have been drawn to the Arctic for as long as I can remember. Not only for the adventure, not for the bragging rights, but for something quieter than that. There is a feeling that only places like this can give you, of being very small in the best possible way. Time stops feeling like a deadline and starts feeling like something much larger. The age of the glaciers, the silence that existed long before any of us, the wildlife living in a world beyond human life.

I wanted to approach Svalbard by sea, on a ship with a century of history beneath its hull, moving through it slowly, the way it deserves. I got emotional more than once while planning this trip, just imagining what it will feel like to stand at the edge of something that vast and that ancient.

This is not just a vacation. It is something closer to therapy, except the therapist is a glacier and the office has no walls.

Playing piano, hanging out with my close friends, and working out.

That people everywhere just want to be heard and understood, and deep down, we’re far more alike than we are different.

I got to the best moments of my life after feeling lost.

That you don’t need to have it all figured out, and that you’ll never be alone. You will always meet beautiful people and make wonderful new friendships.

Anything by Lana Del Rey or Abdulrahman Mohammed.

What’s something most people don’t know about you?
I am architect and worked for 7 years before switching full time to Prism.


What do you love most about guiding trips?
Seeing strangers become friends and watching people surprise themselves.

What’s your go-to comfort meal?
Fried chicken all the way - and my mom’s Machboos.

What’s one thing you can’t travel without?
My journal and my headphones.

    “When everything is wonderful and mesmerizing, reviews are difficult. Moss covered lava fields galore, soft mountain tops like sitting on pillows, snow caves (wow wow wow) and glaciers that dance for us (ok they were turning, but what a dance), a black beach leading into a cave of wonders.

    Iceland is magic. Iceland with Ahmed is pure bliss, and the group I was with is the best collection of people you want with you on any trip. Even the bus rides were thrilling. I’d go back again (cliff jumping into river included :)
